Nutshell:
I was born and raised (or borned and brung up - depending on what part of town you are from) in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Your standard Midwest upbringing...Mom, Dad, Sister, the occasional 4 day goldfish won from the carnival, and being stuffed into the dryer by my brother. All the things that make us who we are.
Pretty sure I cannot pin-point the moment or event that led me to why I wanted to be an artist. Ever since I was a young boy I knew I...
Nope.
Cartoons were special to me. Still are. I find myself nostalgic for things I didn't experience. Drawing was always fun. Collage is like creative recycling. Norman Rockwell, Wile E. Coyote, and Bob Ross (gasp!) speak to me like anyone found in an art history book. Our stories, symbolism and how things connect are intriguing. Life is a collage of things, thoughts, and events. The history behind XY & Z makes me want to know more. It is wonderous to get seduced by materials.
Somewhere in there is the answer to the question why.
